Yasmin

My objective as a tutor is to foster positive, engaging and inspiring learning environments. Through my 10 years experience teaching in diverse and specialist schools, I have acquired effective communication skills, allowing me to challenge students of all abilities. I take pride in planning and delivering excellent sessions, which help students to improve their confidence and gain the necessary skills and techniques to achieve.

I have worked as a classroom teacher in `Outstanding` London Secondary schools, with pupils across years 7-13, teaching English Literature and English Language. I have taught students of all abilities and have proven results with A Level (including coursework), SEN students, and improving writing and literacy skills. In the 2024 GCSEs, my students, and those who I privately tutored, achieved grades 7-9 in both Literature and Language, with many surpassing their predicted grades.

Availability: Monday - Friday: 4pm - 8:00pm
Weekends: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Experience: Most recently employed as a classroom teacher in one of the highest achieving secondary schools in London.

Previously employed as an English teacher and Head of Key stage 3 at a secondary school in East London teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 (English Literature).

Over the past 8 years I have worked in state and grammar schools, including Catholic and Jewish faith schools.

I have also privately tutored for the past 2 years.
