I have taught for 7 years full time as a Mathematics Teacher across three schools in London and Shanghai. My diverse and contrasting teaching experiences have allowed me to refine my teaching practice in a way that means I can adapt and cater teaching for any and all students. I have experience teaching students with SEN, ESL students, students achieving the very highest grades and students whose confidence needs to be built in order to access foundational mathematical content. Furthermore, I have been a coach and mentor to teachers in training; identifying their areas of strengths and encouraging them in areas in which they could improve. I am experienced in planning, tailoring and sequencing learning in a way that is clear, accessible and memorable for students.

I use enthusiasm, praise and encouragement to build the confidence of my students. Recognising their strengths and empowering them to grow in areas of challenge. I have experience teaching students with SEN, ESL students, students working towards the very highest grades and students who need support with foundational mathematical concepts.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy cycling, hiking and dancing. I love travelling, in particular trying the food in different countries and attempting to learn some key phrases in the local language.

Experience: Most recently I have taught in London`s leading day school for students with specific learning differences, whereby I adapt teaching materials, content and delivery in order to ensure that all students can learn and make progress. Before this I taught in a state school with an impressive progress eight score, whereby students make significantly more progress than indicators would otherwise predict. Prior to this I spent 3 years teaching (including leading the department) of an extremely high achieving bilingual school in Shanghai, whereby 90% of my students were awarded grades A and above in their maths IGCSE.
