Information about Joseph
I am currently a final year student at LSE, reading Mathematics and Economics. Alongside my work as a tutor, I currently work within my universitys Careers Department, where my main role includes dealing with student queries face to face, by email or by phone, as well as designing promotional material for the Careers teams social media channels
In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and am currently working towards Grade 8 in Classical Piano. I also have a strong passion for cycling, often commuting from home to university by bicycle - enjoying the London scenery along the journey!
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I have worked as a Tutor since October 2014, starting at my old tuition centre [contact detail removed] where I taught maths to students of mixed abilities from KS3 to A Level in class groups of up to 40 students. I worked at the tuition centre for 3 years, and in addition to teaching in the classroom I taught A Level Economics, Accounting and Physics to students both in smaller groups and on a one to one basis. I have also worked with primary school students, teaching Entrance Examination content.
After my time at [contact detail removed] Education Centre I have worked as an independent tutor, predominantly teaching GCSE and A Level Maths and A Level Economics, as well as providing guidance and assistance with university applications and writing personal statements.
In June 2018 I worked with Teach First as part of their Insight Programme, embarking on a rigorous week long course on pedagogy and teaching before spending 1 week at a London secondary school, teaching a Year 10 Maths Class. Currently I continue to work as an independent tutor, as well as an affiliated tutor with Uber Tutors.
I really enjoy sharing his passion for mathematics and science with students of all ages. I have taught both independently and at a tuition centre, and tutors from ages 6 up to 18, in English, Maths, Science and the 7+, 11+ and 13+ Entrance Examinations. I hope to inspire my students to fulfil their potential and encourage them to develop the tools they need not just to excel in the classroom but also in later life.
Subjects Taught:
