Experience: Have been a teacher for fourteen years, teaching all the subject above and have a number of extremely successful exam results.
Have recently tutored two students (1) A boy who struggled when he was in school and left with no GCSEs, has achieved an A in his AS History and is on course to repeat that in his A-Level. (2) A boy who arrived over 6 months late to his GCSE was able to achieve a B through my tutoring.
Update - August 2014 - My recent tutees have just received their A-Level results. (1) One student I tutored Sociology achieved an A in my module, which allowed her to get an A* overall. She got into her chosen university. (2) A student I tutored A-Level History and got no GCSEs when at school achieved a B and was 1 mark off an A. He has now recruited me to teach him A-Level Politics. (3) One student who I only tutored from February for six exams ending up achieving C C C C C and D. This allowed him to get into his chosen university as well.
Feedback For Andrew (2)
Well structured lesson!
My daughter had 9/10 hours tuition with Andrew over the summer holidays.
She felt she needed to revise her maths before starting year 10.
I am really glad we chose Andrew... he has supported her learning, increasing not only her potential GCSE grade, but her self confidence too.
She came out of each session (held at local library), bouyant & enthuasiastic.
I would highly recommend Andrew, he has a calm approach, makes sure he obtains his pupil`s current level of understanding & learning style, & explains clearly what is expected from both parties.
We plan to use Andrew again, mainly as revision support, for maths, and possibly other subjects too, within the next year.
(nb. I have scored Andrew `4- very good`.... because my teachers said `there is always room for improvement!`.
Thanks again Andrew.
