Information about Dulcie
My name is Dulcie and I have always wanted to work with children. I am very passionate about education and it is so rewarding to help young people grow and build their skill sets. I put a big emphasis on growth mindset (making mistakes helps you learn!) and confidence building. If learning isn`t fun there is no point in doing it, so I try to keep my sessions as active and engaging as possible.
My experience teaching in mainstream classrooms was wonderful, but showed me that those poor teachers can`t do it all! Sometimes students need a little extra time, extra practise, or just a different way of learning. Maybe you want that extra push that you`re not getting at school to take your talents even further!
I hope to afford that time and support to pupils that can allow them to truly flourish and achieve their full potential.
Sessions can be flexible and I will work around you, ranging from 1 - 2 hours. Can do remote or in-person sessions as you prefer.
Sessions are marketed for children in KS2 (7 - 11). Depending on needs I can offer support for KS3 (12 - 14).
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have had tutees before and loved the more thorough and cohesive learning that you can achieve with one-to-one teaching. As a full qualified teacher I have also held positions teaching in mainstream and special schools.
DBS Check: Yes
