Information about Claire
I am a Religious Studies (Philosophy, Ethics and Religion) and Sociology specialist.
I have taught A Level Religious Studies/ Philosophy for ten years and really enjoy seeing young people progress with new knowledge, skills, confidence and questions! I have been the Course Team Leader of RS at my previous colleges and am also an examiner for OCR.
I am also teaching Sociology A Level- the AQA Exam board and absolutely love teaching that too and relating the subject to real world events. The modules I teach are Education, Research Methods, Family, Crime and Religion.
I would consider myself to be approachable, kind and adaptable to the needs of my learners.
Availability: Evenings, weekends and School holidays

After receiving weekly tutoring lessons for A-level religious studies from Claire, I was able to achieve an A in my overall grade. Previously I had been getting C`s consistently, however the personalised sessions where the learning was catered to my strengths + preferred teaching style/method allowed me to excel in my exams. Claire is extremely knowledgable in the field of religious studies, and I found the sessions complemented my classes, allowing more one-on-one time where my unanswered questions were dealt with patience and expertise. Claire is also familiar with the examination process surrounding the A-level, and gaining insight into this allowed me to develop my essay writing skills, alongside strengthening my memory each week. The sessions were flexible, allowing me to cater each hour to my needs and preferred activities, providing essential learning while maintaining an enjoyable element too. I highly recommend Claire.

Claire was an excellent tutor! Very reliable, knowledgable and kind. I improved three grades in A level sociology over the course of the year and ended up getting A*. 100% recommend and she supported me in so many ways, reviewing my essays, giving me extra sources of information and answering any questions.
