I am a qualified BEd hons primary school teacher with 24 years mainstream teaching experience. I work as a teacher in a local primary school one day per week teaching KS 1. I also deliver online tutoring working for my local education authority as part of the family learning team. I worked as a HLTA at a Special Needs school until June 2015 and have gained invaluable experience of this sector. I have been home tutoring since May 2013. Tutoring has gradually grown by recommendation and I am now in a position to tutor Monday - Friday evenings and Saturday morning. I am free in the day to support home schoolers and adult learners. I currently tutor Maths and English but can teach all subject areas Key Stage 1,2,3. I am an art specialist teacher and would love to tutor Art at any level.
I am insured, CRB checked and have a number of references from both teaching and from tutoring.
I am blessed to be able to use both my teaching experience and self esteem building skills to support my students with fun, relevant, engaging carefully planned and resourced lessons. I provide a follow up activity to complete at home matched to the lesson as an extension to build independence and confidence. I assess progress and feedback to parents/carers regularly. My strength is forming a working relationship that fosters supported small steps towards success. My students make progress at school and feel supported to share any questions arising from school so that they don`t ever feel like they can`t do it or don`t get it. I also tutor over school holidays.

Availability: I have some availability currently 3 spare places week days 3-8 pm. Please contact me to see if we can find a mutually agreeable slot.

Experience: BEd Hons education University of Birmingham. !5+ years mainstream teaching experience in Sandwell and Worcestershire. 3 - 11. 2 years SEN teaching experience. 3-18 years. 2 years as a successful home tutor with students 7-15 years old. Numeracy and Literacy support. Key Stage 2 SAT`s. Dyslexia spelling and calculation/number support.
A Level Art and Design G.C.S.E Art. NCFE Photography BTEC ND art and deign. Bed Hons art specialism.
