Information about Hayley
I taught English and English Literature at KS3, GCSE and A-Level for 18 years, in state and independent school. After receiving a book publishing deal in 2017, I left teaching to become a full time author, and have now had two young adult novels published in the UK and internationally.
I adore English and try to communicate my passion and enthusiasm to all my students. I believe I make a huge difference to each student’s understanding and abilities and help them to achieve the highest grades possible.
Availability: I am available on weekdays from 4-9 pm, and on Saturday mornings. I can also be available during the school day if required.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: BA (hons) degree from Birmingham University.
18 years teaching experience with excellent track record of results.
14 years teaching at Brentwood School, one of the top independent schools in Essex.
Successfully published author of two young adult novels, Show Stopper and Show Stealer.

Hayley has been brilliant. She is clearly passionate about her subject, puts a lot of effort into the planning and execution of the sessions. She is personable and makes the sessions interesting and fun.
