Meeting someone new can be daunting, let alone a new teacher, so I’m very happy to chat informally before you need to decide about lessons.

I believe it’s important that learners are able to express and develop their own ideas not those of their teacher. To artists just starting out on their creative journey I will teach skills and techniques that, with practice, will enable you to explore your own ideas and find your own style. Those who have already started finding their voice I will help to refine their skills and with thoughtful feedback we will work together to find the best path for you and your creativity.

Availability: Weekdays and evenings

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: 15 years as an art teacher, 10 of them as head of art. I have taught GCSE and A level fine art, photography and graphic design with strong student redults. I am a professional artist, with work in galleries across the south-west. And I worked for seven years as an animator.
