Information about Tom
I am a recent graduate of Trinity College Oxford, where I obtained a 1st class degree in Chemistry. Prior to this I read for the IB diploma at King`s College School Wimbledon. I am now reading for a law conversion course at Oxford Brookes University. Away from academic life I am a jazz trumpeter, expert skier and aspiring comedian. In my spare time in Oxford I enjoy outdoor activities including Frisbee, cycling and punting.
Availability: I can conduct teaching at most times during the week courtesy of a flexible student schedule. I am also available to teach at weekends.
Timings are decided with each student individually to determine a mutually beneficial time.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I have been teaching Chemistry since 2012 from GCSE to 2nd year at University, and Physics to IB/A Level. As well as extensive experience as a private tutor, I am a Chemistry and Physics tutor with Lanterna Education, a company specialising in intensive IB courses, and as such also teach at classroom level. I have amassed circa 400 hours of teaching experience, including preparing 6 students for Oxford chemistry interviews.
At degree level I specialise in teaching organic chemistry.
