I have an English Language and Literature BA Hons degree and possess a high standard of both written and oral English. I also have 3 ‘A’ Levels (AAB), and 10 GCSEs (A* – C), including English (A) and Maths (B).

I am a patient, reliable and helpful individual with an optimistic outlook and enthusiasm for tutoring. Am concerned about advancing children’s development and have good interpersonal skills. I adopt an empathetic and friendly approach toward supervising children, imparting knowledge and communicating with various ages and levels.

Availability: I am currently available after 6pm on Tuesdays, after 7pm on Wednesdays, after 5.30pm on Thursdays, and from 4pm on Fridays (subject to change.) Can travel anywhere near and in between both New Barnet and Hendon.

Experience: I have experience as a Teaching Assistant for Key Stages 1 and 2.

I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant at a school in Hendon, supporting a Year 1 class. Last year I supported a Year 2 and 3 class, as well as help a Year 4 child from abroad improve their Reading and Literacy skills. I also lead `Read Write Inc` groups for both weaker and brighter students in Key Stage 1, lead smaller Year 4 Literacy groups, and marked PiRA, PUMA and GAPS assessments across the school, up to and including Year 6.

My previous responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant included supporting a child through Years 2 and 3, helping increase her academic independence, as well as monitoring and recording the reading and writing progress of each pupil in the class for both consecutive years.

I also tutor several pupils between Years 1 and 5 for subjects including English, 7+ and 11+ exams.
