Hello, I`m a Mathematics graduate (Manchester Uni) with many years experience of coaching Maths to students across age groups, abilities, schools and boards. I take a structured approach – with some theory review and significant question practice.

Like with any discipline, the foundations are extremely important and if I feel that we need to strengthen these before we progress than so be it… But I also do try and make Maths fun with random problems and number games… In fact I’m able to multiply any two numbers under 100 in less than 10 secs I do enjoy studying my subject and try to pass on this enthusiasm to each student.

I believe in discovering the gaps and challenges which a student faces and gradually helping to improve confidence in these areas. “Maths is tricky’ is a perception so helping with one’s mindset is key. Moreover, from a lengthy career in the Finance sector, I have significant experience in bringing out the best in people, gradually nudging one along and improving one’s self-belief.
