I am an Italian native speaker with a Bachelor of Honours degree in Italian Language and Literature and a CLTA certificate for teaching Italian.

I gained my CLTA in 2015 at International House London, during which I taught classes of beginners and intermediate students. After taking my certificate I carried on teaching to private students, mainly in one to one sessions.

Since I learnt English as a second language in order to live and work in UK I can relate with my students, understanding the common mistakes and ‘bad’ habits that can occur in learning a second language.

I believe that learning is different for everyone and understand that it can become a very stressful process if goals are not set correctly and improvements are not appraised. That’s why I like to guide my students through a process of relaxed and pleasant self-awareness.

At the moment most of my students are professionals who work in fashion. Some are driven by a personal motivation, be it an Italian partner, job or even buying a house in Italy and wanting to interact with the community. No matter the reason, my lessons aim to improve vocabulary, structures, reading, speaking and listening all of which are tailored to your level and needs.

Other students of mine are kids who want to succeed in their GCSE’s. With them I work on practicing the different sections of the exam using the real time required for each of the part. This training on real exam papers enables the students to focus on the actual question of every exercise and prevent them to waste time and energy in deciphering the aim of the exercise during the real test. Alongside practicing GSCE, we work on reviewing tenses, uses of genders, articles, and all the grammar that is required by the exam. Furthermore part of the lesson is dedicated to expand the vocabulary.

Pronunciations and development of the natural Italian sound in speaking play an important role in our classes as well.
