I am an Oxford graduate with over nine years` experience of teaching people aged 5 to 30+.
My specialist areas are: Oxbridge applications, A-Level History and Law, Key Stage 2 Maths and English.
My academic background includes: History and Law.
I take a personable approach to teaching, where I mix an informal manner with high expectations for all learners (of whatever starting ability).
The first step is to develop learners` confidence and organisation skills. From there, we establish where the gaps exist and work on how to close them in a timely and effective manner
Availability: Evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Experience: Currently, I am an Oxbridge applications tutor at a Further Education college where all (or almost all) my students reach at least interview stage. I prepare students for UCAS applications, Oxford trips, interview technique, research, essay submission, and LNAT/HAT aptitude tests. I also teach A-Level OCR Law and Edexcel History, and have examined AQA History exam papers. I deliver Study Skills sessions, where I have helped learners of all academic backgrounds improve their preparedness for exams, with especial knowledge of helping students with Politics and Spanish, which reflects my background and additional skills.
Moreover, I have five years` experience of being a Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher or Teaching Assistant and have prepared many children for Key Stage 2 SATs. I have also tutored Key Stage 3 English, and taught Gifted and Talented GCSE students.
I have significant experience of teaching children with severe social and emotional needs.
