As a 3rd year medical student at Barts and The London SMD, I understand the importance of achieving strong grades whilst in school.

I can tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Geography GCSE subjects (other than foreign languages) and will ensure that students have the resources, study techniques and support to reach their potential.

Having studied the International Baccalaureate, a very demanding course, I know the value of time management and good study skills. I also won the International Baccalaureate Prize.

Availability: Most evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have experience privately tutoring 2 students at GCSE level, ensuring they have a firm grasp of the content and, importantly, understanding how to translate this content to a strong performance in the exam situation.
I achieve this by having by consistently referring to exam questions as we go through the curriculum and building the essential exam skills.

The issue I find most common in students is having the available knowledge, but being unable to analyse exam questions and understand what content exactly they are being asked for. Therefore, I like to focus on key words and the recognition of question patterns, as well as ensuring that they can use critical thinking to solve harder questions.
