1-1 Online Lessons:

Online tutoring provides a valuable opportunity to make pupil assumptions explicit, uncover any misconceptions they may have, and address them individually. Giving praise and specific advice on what pupils can do to improve is essential to building their confidence in their abilities. I continually evaluate the children’s learning during each lesson to check on their progression. At times this has involved changing my plan in the lesson to suit the children’s needs.

I want to make a difference in the formative years of a child`s development. I hope tutoring will inspire children to become confident individuals in their learning and encourage them to have a hunger to learn more. It is essential that as the practitioner, we inspire pupils beyond what they believe they can achieve and help them to reach their goals.

I strongly believe building positive relationships with individual pupils matter; children need to feel able to make mistakes without feeling judged in order for them to progress in their learning.

Fee for a 1-1 lesson is £36

Group Lessons:

I conduct most lessons as a group. Each group will be very small, consisting of 2-3 students. The groups will be organised based on the same ability.

I will discuss with you what you are hoping to achieve for your child. Together you will explore your key areas of concern and your ;;;;priorities. I will then have a few 1-1 lessons with your child (initial 1-1 lessons are charged at a higher rate than the group lessons) to undertake my baseline assessment. This ensures a smooth transition to joining a group.

These sessions give students the best chance of reaching their full potential by making them independent learners and feel confident in their ability. Discussions will allow students to build upon their understanding and help others to develop and clarify their ideas.

Fee is £24 per student for a group lesson.

Availability: I can do tutoring sessions Monday - (Friday 4pm-7:30pm).

Experience: I previously worked as a Primary School teacher. My experience in the classroom has enabled me to make work purposeful, build positive relationships with children and act upon their interests. Furthermore, I believe being: empathetic, consistent and fair is integral to being able to manage a safe and caring learning environment.

I am currently a year 5 teacher for an online primary school and have been doing this role for many years. This involves planning and delivering maths, English and science lessons every morning. Trying to accommodate mixed abilities within the group is a challenge I love to overcome. Building good relationships with colleagues and parents virtually is imperative to ensure students are reaching their full potential.

I also conduct my own online group lessons in the evenings and afternoons through the use of Tutorhunt. I track individual progress over time and relay important information to parents. My review page shows an outstanding history of satisfied clients.
