Elise

My name is Elise, mother of 4 with a degree in children and adolescent studies. Before completing my PGCE in I spent 6 years as teaching assistant. I have worked 3 years as a qualified teacher. I have been teaching for the past 13 years. I have completed a master and a fellowship in higher education.

Tutoring approach
I am based in Bedford. I offer tutoring hours following a focussed and encouraging approach.
My aim is to help learners gain confidence in their education and be ready for their exam.
I believe that all learners are able to do well depending on what is available for them. Unfortunately Most of our young people have tendency of developing a negative attitude toward education and anxiety for exams because of lack of appropriate support.
For these reasons I have a positive approach to my teaching in which lessons are differentiated and adapted to individual learner depending on their needs.
My goals are:
Confidence build up
Individualised lessons
Coaching on how to pass exam.

Availability: Evenings and weekends. Arrangement can be made during school holidays.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: 13 years classroom experience as class support and learning support assistant across all departments in further/ higher education.3 years as class teacher/ lecturer in health and social care including teaching Maths.
I speak more than one language which include English, French, Lingala. Also a little bit of Portuguese and Spanish. I am currently willing to take more French learner on board.
I am DBS checked and clear.
