I am a very experienced teacher of French who works in a Kent grammar school. I have achieved excellent results at both GCSE and `A` level in French with students I teach in school and also those I tutor. I`m good at making students feel comfortable, confident and quickly giving them a sense of progression when learning the French language. I`ve taken a break from tutoring, but am very keen to start taking on students again starting from this September 2023.
Availability: Available Monday,Tuesday and Thursday
from 16.30. Also available Saturday morning
between 09.00 - 12.00.
Willing to travel: 30 miles

We would like to recommend Jan to anyone looking for a French tutor. Our Y9 son’s feedback, based on initial several lessons, is very positive about materials used, communication and explanation. Initial response from Jan was prompt and clear. He checked with us, what our boy needed support with, enquired about language background, and school books. We receive materials in good time prior to each lesson. Those can be (and have been) modified if we raise a particular topic or homework to cover. We opted for an online tuition which has been working without any hiccups.

Jan tutored my daughter for the last year of GCSE French. She has benefited immensely from his help and he was very patient and always encouraging with her helping her to achieve a top grade in what is often a difficult subject. Jan is reliable, punctual and professional whilst being very warm and friendly and I would recommend him to anyone looking for private tuition for languages.
