Information about Daniel
Hello! My name is Daniel and I started playing piano in Portugal at the age of 8. After a few years of playing music alongside my many sports, I truly fell in love with the instrument at 14 and started lessons with American concert pianist Elizabeth Allen.
I would later graduate from Chetham`s School of Music in Manchester, where I learned core music theory and was tutored by contemporary piano expert Peter Lawson, and then started my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).
I took part in various different projects in the RNCM, including playing piano in large and small orchestras, accompanying ballet dancers, commissioning and performing contemporary piano music, and even winning the world record for the most pianists to play a piano at once! I also took part in a Music Pedagogy course which explored many different ways of teaching music to different types of learners, and was able to apply this to various students.
I am passionate about my instrument and am keen to share my all round education of music in the most joyful way possible!
