My priorities are to build a student`s confidence and help them to find Chemistry easier to understand, remember and apply.
Every year I get excellent student feedback and have been described as genuinely caring. My lessons have been described as outstanding, inclusive, fun and interactive and my students have regularly achieved outstanding results and gone on to study Science and Medical courses at Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities.
This is a recommendation from one of my past students:
I cannot recommend Elenna highly enough as a chemistry tutor. She tutored me for 10 weeks prior to my A level chemistry exams. Due to health problems, I had missed out on a significant portion of my GCSEs and therefore found chemistry quite difficult at A level. Elenna knew that my goal was to study medicine at university, and she helped closed the gap I felt between my peers. She explained things to me in a way my chemistry teacher couldn’t, and helped me work through past papers. Elenna was patient with me and I saw improvement in my mock paper grades soon after her tutoring began. She really believed in me and made me feel more confident walking into my exam.
I went on to achieve a grade A in Chemistry A level and study medicine at Bristol university, something that would not have happened if it wasn’t for Elenna!

Experience: I have a PhD in synthetic chemistry, a PGDE and qualified teacher status. I have taught Chemistry and Applied Science up to A-level and Access to HE medicine for more than 14 years in well respected sixth form colleges. I developed courses to support my students to study for the BMAT, Chemistry Challenge and Chemistry Olympiad.
As well as being Head of Chemistry and Head of Science, I am an associate STEM facilitator so have trained and mentored other Chemistry teachers.
I have tutored students in A-level Chemistry, GCSE and I-GCSE Chemistry.
