A firm believer in the importance of learning Geography. All students should be encouraged to develop a curiosity about the world and how it works.
I understand the challenge some students find in completing exams and have a clear, strategic method of tutoring, which helps to build confidence and skills.

Availability: Weekends are better, however, I can tutor after school in emergencies.

Experience: Tutoring for 2 years at both A Level and GCSE
Currently Head of Department where rapid improvement under my leadership has raised attainment and profile of the subject. P8 score of 1.23 meaning all students attained at least a grade above target at GCSE.
I have taught Geography for 15 years in a wide tange of different schools, including 4 years at a British international school in Bangkok. I am familiar with teaching Edexcel, AQA, OCR and IGCSE specifications and have taken part in intense training for the new exam specifications, with a particular interest and skill in extended writing questions and fieldwork.
Was extremely happy with summer 2018 results at GCSE my cohort of 75 students had a pass rate 30% above the national avaerage. Student attainment, including 7+ was extremely good.
My student’s results have continued to be exceptional and consistently over the national average. Since I introduced A level geography to my school, students have attained ed 100% A*-B, with most going on to study at Russell group universities, including Cambridge, UCL and Warwick.
