As Head of Department with over 10 years of tutoring experience and a regular examiner for both GCSE and A-Level Geography, I am confident in my ability to strengthen students’ understanding of content and refine their exam technique.

Since 2015, I have been teaching Geography at an OFSTED Outstanding school in South London. In addition to delivering the full A-Level syllabus, I am a borough lead for the marking and moderation of the NEA (coursework) component. I also tutor students across all papers of the GCSE course for AQA, Edexcel, and IGCSE specifications.

My tutoring is tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether that involves closing knowledge gaps or developing effective exam strategies. In our first session, I use a Personal Learning Checklist (PLC) to identify areas of focus and establish the most effective approach. I regularly incorporate past paper questions, including those available only to teachers, to ensure students are practicing exam-relevant material. I place strong emphasis on using mark schemes and examiner reports to build familiarity with assessment criteria and achieve high outcomes.

I studied Geography with Management at Loughborough University, where I specialised in Human Geography. Upon Graduation, I was awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Student’ across a cohort of 130 for my contribution to the department. I completed my PGCE at St Mary’s University, Twickenham and was awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2015.

Availability: As I am a full time teacher during the week, my availability will be after 5pm on weekdays.

Experience: I have tutored over 30 pupils through both GCSE and A-Level courses in AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
