I have provided expert tutoring for the past 5 years in a range of social science and business subjects at A level for the OCR, Edexcel, and AQA specifications as well as degree support. I am educated to Masters level with a current DBS. I studied BA Politics and Business Studies at the University of Liverpool and then completed MSc Real Estate Development at the University of Manchester. I enjoy tutoring with a clear track record of supporting GCSE, A-Level and University students to realise their academic potential.
I take the time to understand the student`s strengths and challenges. I create a tailored approach to teaching that meets the needs of the student with achievable goals that maximize success. At A level, I focus on developing a student`s knowledge of their course content alongside successful exam techniques allowing the student to develop a clear understanding of what is required to achieve excellent results.
For university students undertaking dissertations, essays, and reports I support students to develop an effective research process and offer guidance on structure, academic writing, and referencing. I have supported students from universities including the University of Liverpool, Nottingham Trent University, University of Birmingham, University of Manchester, University of Edinburgh, and the Royal Agricultural University
Availability: I am available during evenings Monday to Friday with some weekend availability. I will always endeavour to find a suitable slot for you despite my popularity.

Joshua worked with my son who is doing a degree in Business Studies. He reviewed a report that my son was writing and provided feedback on how to improve the overall presentation and how to develop his ideas further. His support resulted in my son achieving a 1st class mark. He is also supporting him with a dissertation. He has given insights into, and feedback on, various aspects such as structure, academic writing skills, gathering research and research methods. This is ongoing. My son is very happy with the support and, when asked for feedback, he said Joshua is really helpful, explains things really well and gets a lot done in sessions. From a parent’s point of view, I would add that I find Joshua to be very professional, approachable and supportive. I am very happy to recommend him as aa tutor at degree level.
