I am a fully qualified primary teacher and music tutor, with several years experience working with students of all ages. I believe that lessons should be built around the student, so I provide personalised lessons that cater to the needs of each student, and ensure that my lessons are as engaging and fun as possible. I push my students to get the best out of them and ensure they are challenged in every session, while remaining mindful that too much pressure can decrease motivation. I like to get the know the person I am teaching, and work out which methods will work best for them.

Availability: I am available from Monday - Saturday during the day and work evenings on request.

Experience: Primary Tuition: I offer sessions in English and Maths. Being a qualified primary school teacher, I am familiar with the national curriculum and have experience with planning detailed and differentiated lessons to ensure that all students can access and be challenged in each session. I offer tuition for students of all abilities, whether it be children who need support in working at age-related expectations or students working at greater depth. I plan effective and engaging sessions based on individual students and use formative assessment to ensure I am meeting the child`s needs.


Music Tuition: I offer instrumental lessons in violin, viola and piano.I am a classically trained violinist with a degree in music from the University of Manchester. I have taught students of all ages for many years, and have a 100% pass rate with students I have entered for music exams. I have taught complete beginners and prepared them for their first exams, as well as teaching more advanced violinists who are working towards a higher grade exam or recital. I have also taught people who want to play purely for enjoyment and to promote their mental wellbeing.
