I believe in making maths accessible to all. I use a range of approaches to teach maths in order to suit the needs of the learner. This enables students to become more involved and responsible for their learning. As a classroom teacher, I know and understand how valuable one to one sessions can be to the student and therefore aim for students to get the most out of their time with me. As a tutor I aim to provide extra support, encouragement and approaches to student learning. In my sessions I help to boost confidence of students, allowing them to gain/ regain confidence in themselves- regardless of ability.
My experience in GCSE year 11 linear exam prep and marking for edexcel has given me a sound knowlege of exam marking criteria and the new elements of `functional maths`.

Experience: I am currently Head of Maths in a north London schook. I have over 7 years valuable teaching experience from my job as well as doing private tutoring.
I teach ages 11-16, KS3 and KS4, as well as Additional Maths for those students who achieved an A or A* and where continuing in maths.
I am involved in exam preparations for GCSE and have a lot of tutoring as well as classroom experience with both foundation and higher tiers.
I am fully up to date on new curriculum changes especially at GCSE and KS3. I have access to resources to help support these changes.
