Hello, I hold an M.A. in Writing and have written for The Times Educational Supplement and The Guardian newspaper. I have also written a novel which was published a few years ago.
Writing is not easy. As I write myself, I fully understand the difficulties of putting one word after another and because of that, I am able to help my students with the insight I have gained.

I teach English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A level.

Competence in English is absolutely essential, opening doors for students to progress. As a private tutor for 5 years now, so far I have had a 100% success rate, with some students exceeding expectations.

Availability: I have availability during school hours from 9-4 from Monday-Friday. I also have some availability on Monday and Wednesday from 4-9, and at the weekend when the external exams are imminent.
I have a designated teaching room in my home and many, many resources.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I have taught in schools and colleges for 25+ years. During that time, I held various responsibilities and also taught students of all ages and abilities.
Five years ago I left the classroom to set up as a private tutor.
