I qualified as a Secondary School Maths teacher in July 2019 after working as a solicitor for 14 years. I obtained my degree at the University of Kent in Law and that has given me a great foundation for the progress in my career.
As a classroom teacher I am well equipped to identify the mistakes and misconceptions students make in learning maths and therefore try to preempt and deal with these prior to them arising.
I appreciate the frustrations working through maths problems can create and have developed the patience to identify the gaps in my students knowledge and cater to these as required for the benefit of my students.
I am great at building relationships with my students as this helps them adapt to my style of teaching and be relaxed enough to ask questions or explain any difficulties they have.
These are the skills I will bring to my tutoring with the view to helping each individual student reach their full potential and excel.
