I am an experienced teacher and currently a headteacher in primary education as well as being a mum to two boys of primary and secondary age. I feel strongly about instilling the right learning behaviours so that children find learning fun and develop their sense of curiosity.

Experience: I have over 20 years experience across the primary age range, as well as being a headteacher for the last seven years in a primary school. I also have significant experience in teaching pupils with special educational needs, including more complex needs. My approach to teaching is to ensure children find learning fun through an interactive, hands on approach where possible so that they secure their understanding of concepts and their ability to apply these to different contexts. Developing a strong rapport is also extremely important so that the child feels secure to make mistakes and learn from these.
