Information about Gary
I am a chemistry graduate from Newcastle University. I studied a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry and then an MSc in Drug Chemistry. I recently completed a PGCE in Secondary Education in Science with Chemistry qualifying me to teach all three sciences to GCSE and my specialism chemistry to A-level. I also teach GCSE maths and have good familiarity with current maths syllabus. I currently work as a chemist for a leading worldwide company in the pharmaceutical industry.
My approach to teaching science is taking individual scientific concepts and breaking them down into small manageable pieces in the hope to aid understanding of abstract ideas in science. I can cater for all learning styles but try to demonstrate ideas visually where possible to give clarity to complex subjects.
I have had recent success with my recent A-level chemistry student achieving an overall A grade and two GCSE maths students both achieving grade B`s.
Availability: All weekends and evenings
Willing to travel: 10 miles

Was all going ok we thought and then Gary stopped replying so we couldn`t arrange any more sessions. Not sure what we did wrong?

Gary has tutored my son for 3 x 2 hour sessions so far and we have found him to be an excellent tutor who conveys his knowledge in a way that is easily understood. He has always stayed longer than the arranged 2 hours and is really making a difference to my son`s ability and confidence in A level Chemistry.
