Information about Tom
My goal is to help students studying Politics enjoy it as much as I have - and to get the best grades, of course.
I can help politics students develop your critical reading and analysis; understand political systems and their social and historical context; improve your ability to make and structure an argument; develop informed, personal and creative responses to questions; and become an essay writer with depth and flair.
In my 6 years working in Westminster politics, Ive seen the power of politics to change the world, so I help my students understand how their studies connect to real life. I find this helps them really engage with the subject, by making it meaningful for them.
This is all about helping you improve, so Ill discuss a work plan with you so you know what to expect. I`ll focus on building on your strengths, and improving where you need some extra help.
I can tutor online, travel to your house, or host in Bermondsey.
Availability: Monday -Thursday 4pm - 11pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 11pm
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: A little about me: I`ve worked with a range of students to help them improve their work and improve their understanding.
I have over 6 years of experience working in politics, working for a Member of Parliament, in a political think-tank, and for the UK Civil Service.
I was recently awarded the prestigious Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship.
I read MA Political Theory at UCL, and BA Politics at the University of Leeds.
