Information about Catherine
Hi, I`m Cat. I am 26, smiley, energetic and enthusiastic about most things!
I graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath in 2018. After graduating, I worked as a Teaching Fellow at the university. Following this I started a job as a Mechanical Engineer at Arup. I love working with people. I also enjoy running, hiking and everything outdoors! I have a PGCE in Secondary Maths and I currently teach at the University of Surrey.
Availability: I am flexible with days and times to suit you.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I tutor students because I love helping people to understand things, motivating students to learn, and inspiring confidence in my students. Whilst at university I tutored secondary school students in maths lessons. I enjoy getting to know my students to understand how I can help them, motivate them and assist them in building their confidence. I have experience of working with students with a full range of activities. I have created and delivered week-long workshops for summer schools at the University of Bath, designed to inspire students to apply to university. I have designed, developed and delivered STEM and language workshops to students from Year 3-13. During my at the University of Cambridge I taught maths to students in years 7 to 12.
