For 13 years I have been teaching a range of subjects as a full time tutor

Working on line and in person in the home aswell as supporting pupils in schools

My areas of specialisation are 11 plus Maths, Biology, physics, chemistry, art an photography, with some physical geography. Also 11 plus mathematics

I have completed more than 30,000 hours of tutorials, delivered in a methodical but engaging style.

I have extensive experience working with under privileged children, and extensive SEN experience

• One-to-one tutoring for Biology, Physics and Chemistry from year 6 to year 11, plus Photography and Art for ‘A’ level to undergraduate.
• Experienced in home schooling offering biology, physics, chemistry, geography, art and photography as a programme for a short or long-term home education period.
• Have worked with pupils attending a wide range of schools including, Eton College, Harrow School, Godolphin and Latymer School, Westminster School, City of London School for Girls, The City of London School, also known as CLS and City, Brighton College, Winchester College, St Paul’s School, Charterhouse School, Portland Place School, The London Oratory School & Holland Park School.
• Having tutored over 100 pupils on a regular basis, I have accrued thousands of hours of experience and possess an in-depth understanding of all the examining boards including Edexcel, and Cambridge IGCSE.

Jan 2012 – 2015 Science Intervention Manager, Varndean School, Brighton
• Completed over 3,000 tutorials which have contributed to an annual pass rate increase of 7% and 11% respectively for the Science GCSE.
• An in-depth knowledge of the KS4 Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus.
• Intervention tutoring throughout the academic year with lesson plans prepared and implemented to run in parallel with the classroom schedules. Oversee the weekly ‘speed recap sessions’ to enable pupils to recall the key facts.
• Ongoing assessment and reporting on the development of each pupil and adjust the sessions for further study.
• Provide training sessions to Science PGCE students and postgraduate interns assisting the science department.

• Tutor on specialist photographic courses on location in London.
• Completed over 300 workshops for adult groups of 4 to 14.
• Devise and deliver course content for practical and theoretical instruction. Courses comprise Architecture, Black-&-White, Introductory, Advanced and Night Photography.
• Technically accomplished in all aspects of photography – including film, digital, lighting, shooting in a studio and on location, colour, black-and-white, darkroom techniques, editing, digital post production, composition, aesthetics, semiotics, historical and contemporary genres.

2009 – Present Visiting Lecturer - BA Photography In The Arts, Swansea Metropolitan University
• On the creative photography module I provide one-to-one and group tutorials - guiding the student’s inquiry with theoretical, technical and practical instruction.
• Explore a context for each student’s work, to position in the field of advertising, fashion, photojournalism or arts.
• Deliver a 2 hour lecture programme with a presentation of my visual arts practice – followed by Q&A’S.
