I have a BA in French Language and Literature from the University of Durham and a Masters (MA) in English Literature - for which I received a distinction - from the Open University.

I worked as a proofreader for British Telecom for a year and a half and was a live and pre-recorded subtitler for over six years for Independent Media Support, a company that provided the subtitles for Sky News, Films and Sports. Both jobs required excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and attention to detail.

I am a keen sportswoman and play second-team tennis for my local club in Enfield, and offer an energetic approach to everything that I do, including poring over GCSE and `A`level literature texts!

Availability: I shall continue to teach online for the immediate future.

Experience: I have been tutoring GCSE English Language and Literature for four years and A Level Literature (Eduqas,AQA and Edexcel syllabuses) and AQA A Level Language and Literature since September 2018. I taught English for a year in 1991 in France when I was studying French at Durham University (having taught swimming to children from 4-14 at my local club in my late teens). Since lockdown, I have been conducting lessons online using Skype and Google Meet but will gradually revert to face-to-face lessons.
