I have a BA in French Language and Literature from the University of Durham and a Masters (MA) in English Literature - for which I received a distinction - from the Open University.

I worked as a proofreader for British Telecom for a year and a half and was a live and pre-recorded subtitler for over six years for Independent Media Support, a company that provided the subtitles for Sky News, Films and Sports. Both jobs required excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and attention to detail.

I am a keen sportswoman and play second-team tennis for my local club in Enfield where I am also on the tennis committee and work with the club`s outreach projects, and offer an energetic approach to everything that I do, including poring over GCSE and `A`level literature texts!

Availability: Weekday afternoons/evenings (except Tuesday and Friday)
Saturday afternoons

Experience: I have been tutoring GCSE English Language and Literature, A Level English Literature and A Level English Language and Literature since 2018. I taught English for a year in 1991 in France when I was studying French at Durham University (having taught swimming to children from 4-14 at my local club in my late teens). I also taught GCSE English for the Access Project charity for a year.
