Information about Hayley

Hi, my name is Hayley and I am a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and currently a Clinical Educator at the University of Reading. I became interested in mental health when I studied Psychology in Sixth Form. I really enjoyed learning about case studies and clinical psychology and went on to study this at University.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends (and walking my dogs). I have an interest in Japanese culture and am currently learning the language after spending time in Japan. I love travelling, meeting new people and learning new things.

Additional to tutoring psychology, I am also happy to focus on wellbeing (should you feel this could be helpful as a student). I personally found studying very stressful, and wish I had the coping techniques as a teenager that I have been taught as a therapist. I can focus on managing stress, worry management, relaxation, managing a work-life balance, and problem solving. Please do let me know if you feel it could be helpful to integrate this alongside tutoring.

Availability: Tuesday and Thursday evenings are best for me from 4pm onwards. I can also do Monday and Wednesday but as these are teaching days, I won`t be back in West London until 6.30pm. I am open to doing some weekends or friday`s but this would be something to plan in advance!

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I am a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (from University College London) with 3 years of NHS experience and currently working as a Clinical Educator at the University of Reading. In my current role I teach trainee therapists, mark assessments, support as an academic tutor and develop teaching content in line with current guidelines.

Prior to this, I have worked in many mental health settings and have worked as an Au Pair in Spain, taught English in Uganda and Sri Lanka, and volunteered as a primary school assistant.

I have A levels in English, History, Psychology and Biology. I have a degree in Psychology (BSc), a masters in Mental Health Studies (MSc) and a postgraduate certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions (PGCert).

**Please note, I am not able to provide one off advice in terms of proof reading essays or dissertations**
