Information about Emily
I have had a passion for literature since being at school and I know first hand how important an inspiring teacher is to children. I hope to convey the excitement I have for literature to your child and help them to not only understand the subject but to thrive and find joy in it too. I love working with kids and feel that my young age (22) enables me to more fully understand the difficulties faced in school when trying to understand the material. Since school I have gone on to study English at bachelors, masters and PhD level. I am currently pursuing my PhD in English at the University of Oxford.

Experience: I have previously worked as a TESL teacher in China where I taught classes of children aged between 11-16, both in large classes of 35 and in smaller group tuition classes of 5. I also worked as a peer mentor in the final year of my undergraduate degree where I conducted one-to-one tutoring with first year undergraduate students struggling with the course.
