Annabel

Hello.
My name is Annabel and I am a qualified primary school teacher. I am currently teaching in an outstanding school in Wandsworth. I am currently specialising in teaching children whose first language is not English. I have previously taught in Reception, Nursery, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and year 4.
The lessons that I plan and deliver are engaging, enjoyable and challenging I currently follow the early years foundation stage curriculum but have previously taught from the old and the new National Curriculum.
As part of my professional development at my current school I have looked at the new GAPS (grammar, punctuation and spelling) tests. I am confident that i am able to deliver lessons to the high standard the tests require.
My school have high expectations and as a result I automatically plan and deliver challenging yet enjoyable lessons. Children in my class are currently progressing at an outstanding rate. I continue with these high expectations when tutoring so that I get the best out of these as well as the children in my class.

Availability: I am available evenings after 6 and some Saturdays.
I am available for work over the summer if parents would like a boost for their child so they do not fall behind over the long break. I am available during the day over the holidays.
Over the Summer holidays I am happy to travel a little further than during term time.

Experience: I have successfully tutored children to achieve their personal targets and as a result their progress has been recognised by their teachers and other professionals. I have previously tutored a a group of 2-4 children of reception, year 1 , year 2 and year 3 and year 5 age. I am always prepared with exciting activities which suit the age of the children. I have also tutored children to pass entrance exams for private education.
Many of the children i have tutored have developed their confidence which has resulted in the children achieving their personal goals at school.
