I`m currently studying for a Masters in Chemistry with Molecular Physics at Imperial College London, and I have over 700 hours of tutoring experience both on an individual basis and in small groups, privately, in various schools and online. In this time, my passion for tutoring has grown as I`ve seen my tutees progress from their hard work. I expect my tutees to work hard, as I do for them, however I am a relaxed and friendly individual which I believe comes across in my teaching.

Since I teach sciences, my teaching style mainly involves problem-based learning once a concept has been explained. This ensures consistent focus and tackles misconceptions well: practice is the key to thorough understanding. In this regard, I frequently question and ask my tutees to explain concepts to me, which is especially useful in ensuring a topic is fully understood. Having a clear plan and resources to practice from is vital for a student`s confidence approaching exams, and the structure I provide alongside expert tutorials results in a successful and enjoyable learning experience.


I am also a keen musician, having achieved grade 8 (distinction) in trumpet performance and so I`d be happy to teach beginner level trumpet.

Experience: I have tutored individuals and groups for more than 700 hours over the past four years, online, in-person and in various London schools. This has comprised approximately 200 hours of A level Chemistry tuition (including mock interviews and Olympiads/university admissions tests such as NSAA), 400 hours of GCSE Maths/Physics/Chemistry tuition and 100 hours of KS3 Maths/Science and primary Maths tuition, including some 11+ Maths preparation. I have worked with tutees of all abilities, from A* candidates with interviews at the top UK universities to those aiming to achieve a pass. In recent years I have specialised in A level Chemistry tuition, and over the last academic year I saw two of my long-term tutees progress from C grades at the start of tuition to A grades by the end of the year, while a third achieved consistent A* grades throughout.
