Hello!

I’m Leah, a qualified teacher and founder of Know-It Learning and Skills Academy, based in Northwich. I have over 10 years’ experience in education and have been tutoring students online for the past five years.

I’m passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, but I believe successful tutoring is about much more than improving grades. Many students struggle because they lack confidence, motivation or the strategies they need to approach their learning independently. My aim is to help students develop both the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

I offer tuition in English and Religious Studies from Key Stage 3 through to A Level as well as. I also offer study skills, revision support and academic coaching.

My approach is personalised to each student. I take the time to understand how they learn, where they are struggling and what they want to achieve, before building sessions around their individual needs.

I am also counselling trained which complements my pastoral experience and allows me to take a particularly supportive and understanding approach with students who may lack confidence or feel anxious about their schoolwork.

I want students to feel that they have someone in their corner who believes in their ability to succeed. On average, students improve by around two grades after working with me, although every student’s starting point and journey is different.

Whether a student needs additional support, is aiming for a higher grade, or simply needs to rebuild their confidence, I would love to help them make progress.

• MA Education
• Counselling trained, alongside extensive pastoral experience

I have a strong track record of supporting students to achieve excellent examination results.
• 90% of my GCSE Religious Studies students have achieved Grades 7–9*
• 80% of my A Level Religious Studies students have achieved A–B*
• English students improve by an average of two grades after working with me

My experience of teaching, examining student work, supporting examination classes and working pastorally gives me a broad understanding of what students need to make progress — both academically and personally.
