I am currently a teacher at a well-known Oxford college. I have both a B.A. from York in English Literature and History of Art and an M.A. with distinction in English Literature. I teach English and History of Art (GCSE and A level) with proven success in one and two-year courses, one-year intensive courses as well as intensive retakes and revision courses. I have also been teaching online since 2014 for a private distance learning school for home-educated students worldwide, ages 11 – 18, as well as doing private tuition.

Availability: I am available during the day from Monday - Friday, including after school hours (3pm - 6pm) and two evenings a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Experience: I have been tutoring/teaching for over 15 years. The focus of my work has been individual or small group preparation for exams, both A level and GCSE, as well as a range of school/college entrance exams. I teach both in person and online to students from 11+ years. I have been an A level examiner for two of the main exam boards in my subject areas. I also run my own courses in art appreciation and online summer schools for 11-14 year olds. I have also given targeted academic support to students who are encountering specific difficulties (whether academic or with mental health challenges) the success of which is based on careful listening, assessing their specific needs and establishing a trusting rapport with them having completed dedicated training in both mental health and specific learning difficulties.
