After a corporate career in finance and administration in Australia with companies such as the Commercial Bank of Australia, Caltex Oil Credit un ion and the Attorney General’s Department, I successfully established a freelance consultancy in Community Education.

I am also undertaking a doctor of education at The University of Exeter.

As a tutor, I take a mindfulness-based approach to educating and mentoring. Mindfulness enhances focus and concentration, as well as building emotional resilience. Very often when learning a new subject, the biggest barrier to learning is confidence. Mindfulness can assist us in transcending this barrier, creating a warm, safe yet disciplined structure for learning.

I am a member of the Association for Cultural Studies, the Mindfulness Association UK and SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training And Research).

Further to this I have four years experience teaching ESL to students ranging from 10 years old to adults. I teach both online.
