Kimaya

I am a Sri Lankan-British Masters student currently studying to become a drama and movement therapist at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My BA was in Anthropology and Psychology in the USA. I have lived in the UK, Sri Lanka, California and Hong Kong. I am also a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and I enjoy working, mentoring and connecting with children and adults through teaching.

Availability: I am most available on the weekends and in the evenings during the week, but can find slots in the morning and afternoons on weekdays if need be.

Experience: I have work experience at a grassroots NGO in Sri Lanka for three years, where I was involved in research and advocacy work. I have extensive experience in writing and international journalism, and recently published a joint study on reproductive health in the prestigious Sage Journal. I have worked as a private tutor teaching English to students aged 6-10 years old, and to adults as a foreign language. I have experience facilitating movement and drama workshops for kids and adults alike, and am experienced in mentoring and life coaching young adults. As a certified yoga teacher, I have enjoyed 1 year of teaching, and enjoy sharing the benefits of yoga with my students of all ages.
