Hello. I’m a trained (BA, MA) and experienced tutor working mostly online, with therefore experience of what is required and the difference in online learning. I have also taught in the classroom years 3 & 5 in all subjects. I tend to focus on English KS1 & KS2 and Maths KS1. I also hold a TEFL qualification and can support EAL students of any age.

I am patient, calm and enjoy an optimistic approach, using positivity and focussing on areas where a student can achieve well, to help as a spring board to tackle areas they either enjoy less or are less able to do. I have a great deal of compassion towards people, and strongly believe that kindness is our greatest currency. I also recognise that learning often takes place through fun and engaging lessons, so I strive to ensure my lessons suit all learning styles and I am creative in my lesson planning.

I like to establish the learning goal/s of my students at the outset and then tailor my tuition for their needs. I am happy to set homework and mark work when it is completed, and I can be contacted between sessions if you have any questions that you need help with.

I also hold a TEFL qualification and can support EAL students of any age.
