Undergraduate studying French and History at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, offering tuition in both subjects. Currently averaging a 1st class degree. Having self-taught my A-Levels (RESULTS: A*, A, A) from home with the help of some online tuition, I am familiar with the role of teacher but also student, and I aim to draw on my own experience to provide a service that is both incredibly helpful and enjoyable!

MY APPROACH

I offer one-on-one tuition for a variety of levels. Having myself not so long ago completed my GCSEs and A-Levels, I am familiar with the assessment requirements and offer a targeted approach, following exam board specifications to help students meet the necessary criteria. However, through my own student experience, I understand the principal importance of adapting to each individual and so I aim to alter my approach to suit each student’s personal concerns/weaknesses (be that listening comprehension for French, source analysis for History etc). For those not working tos a specific qualification (KS3 or adult learners), I can cover a wide array of topics/skills, again sculpted according to the needs/interests of each individual.

FRENCH

I cover all aspects of French language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, French Literature etc).
Throughout my studies, I have also covered many areas of French culture, including French cinema; French history and more, and I would aim to incorporate understanding of this alongside language learning.

HISTORY

I can offer tuition for KS3 and GCSE on a variety of topics, for various exam boards. Notified in advance which topics a student is focusing on, I will gather appropriate resources and research to appropriately guide them in their studies. I can also help students with the particular skill of source analysis and evaluation, which is a vital part of all history studies.
