Personal Profile:

My teaching, training and management background over 18 years in London includes teaching English and life and career skills to young people and adult learners. Including: vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, CV`s etc.

I like to create a relaxed (but purposeful) class atmosphere to encourage students learning potential, and have some fun too!

Alongside my teaching and English qualifications, I recently took time away to complete an advanced 140 hours TEFL course (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)and to continue writing a book on ‘Life in London’

I also consider my life and career skills in the music business in 1980`s London, widens my knowledge and understanding to engage students in the teaching world.

I am flexible and creative in my approach to teaching and learning and my `Key Skills` include:

-Reliable, punctual and adaptable
-Confident communicator and strong people’s skills developed working in multi-cultural classrooms
-High degree of cultural awareness teaching in education centres across London
-Creative approaches to challenging situations
-I delivered communication skills training for teachers to motivate young people and adult learning.
-Engaging young people and adults in learning, and have some fun too!

Availability: I am available at fairly short notice, depending on location and travel requirements.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: To add, I have taught in Schools, Colleges, specialist education centres across London and prison education departments for young and adult learners.

Using my life and careers skills to motivate people who have `fallen off the tracks` for one reason or another, and landed in young offender prisons and secure accommodation.
