My name is Matt I`m a specialist tutor in International Relations, History, Politics and War Studies. During my time at university I realized that my education up until that point had totally unprepared me for university work. University exams were not interested in the correct answer coming from a textbook nor were they interested in essay`s arguing the same old points from dusty tomes written by professors decades before.

Instead what university was all about was experimentation, creativity and building new ways of thinking which required a total re-engineering of thinking about writing essays and exams. This process took the best part of a year and a half to complete, a year and a half which could have been spent achieving optimum results instead of building the building blocks of success.

In my sessions with the client I will attempt to acclimatize him or her to the style of writing, reasoning and style of lesson which will be expected of him or her at university. This will allow them a significant head start against their peers having already completed the process which will allow them to write creative, original and powerful university standard essays.

My lessons are perfect for those planning to come into university within the coming year or within their first year of A Level studies preparing to enter university to conduct a degree within the fields of International Relations, War Studies, Politics or History. The curriculum to which I will teach is based around two core components, Knowledge Acquisition and Discussion. The first component will consist of a 30 minuets lesson in the university style within which the pupil will be expected to take notes and the second component will consist of a 30 minuet discussion of the lesson to tease out novel conclusions in the style of a university seminar ending with an essay to be written on the topic after each session to be submitted by the end of the week. Perfecting these twin components will lead to outstanding performance in their university careers and put them ahead of the pack early.

My rates are as follows

1 x 30 Minuet session = £20
1 x 1 Hour session = £40


These differentiated rates offer the opportunity to pick at which speed we progress. For example one 30 minuet session will be spent on knowledge acquisition and then the following 30 minuet session on discussion and the one hour session allows us to do both components in one session. The progression is completely down to yourselves.

The first lesson is free and will simply be a chance for me to gauge the level of ability in terms of knowledge and essay writing already present within the client. I look forward to hearing from you.
