I am 45 years old and have worked in educational settings since 2006, firstly as a nursery nurse, then a teaching assistant and eventually a fully qualified teacher. I am passionate about the education of children and I want to instil a love for learning into all young people. My main interests outside of teaching include performing arts (I have performed in amateur musical theatre productions since the age of 8), going to the theatre, reading, travel, history, cultural visits and studying (I am currently studying for a Masters in Theatre with Guildford School of Acting via distance learning).

Availability: I am currently available every weekday evening and during the day on Thursday and Friday.

Experience: I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher with 7 years teaching experience, the majority of which has been in an independent school. I have experience of teaching all areas of the National Curriculum in the UK but I am most experienced in working with KS2 students. I have been History and Geography Subject Lead for 6 years and history and performing arts are my specialist areas, however I am also passionate about raising standards in Maths and English in primary students. I am firm but fair, give rewards and sanctions as needed, create interesting lessons meeting the National Curriculum objectives and strive to inspire and motivate my students with structured and varied lessons, whilst focusing on the interests and needs of the individual.
