In my career as a teacher and a tutor I have worked with all abilities and pride myself in finding innovative and interesting ways to explain difficult concepts. I also make use of the full range of revision and learning styles to allow my tutees the best opportunity to develop their understanding.
For me building confidence and self belief in the students abilities is just as important as reviewing content. Most of my tutees have reached out to a tutor because they are lacking in confidence. Helping them to overcome this goes a long way to improving grades.
I have been teaching for the last 14 years across a wide range of exam boards and levels. I have been tutoring for the last 5 years typically to GCSE and A-level but also some KS3. Finally I am also an examiner, marking GCSE scri pts for both Biology and Chemistry. My specialisms are Chemistry and Biology to A-level and all sciences below that. I have also experience in tutoring Maths.
Availability: With the examination season now over and my role as a examiner for the GCSEs also complete I am now in a position to offer sessions to new tutees.

Experience: I have been a Science teacher for the last 15 years teaching in various secondary schools in Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. During my career I have taught all year groups and a full range of abilities. My specialisms to A-level are Chemistry and Biology.
I am also an examiner for Pearson and this has provided me with an in depth insight to what the exam boards are looking for in terms of responses and content within responses and allows me to share this with my tutees giving them the benefits of my experience and understanding of mark schemes and required content.
My tutoring experience has again been across the full range of abilities and schooling from Secondary schools, Grammar schools and Private schools. Over the past 5 years I have tutored mainly year 13 A-level Biology and Chemistry and year 11 GCSE covering all Sciences. I have also tutored KS3 students in both Maths and Science.

Andrew explains concepts in a way my daughter understands. He will also help her in answering questions for the new style exams. Its only been about a month since we started the tuition, early days but so far all is good.
