I teach all styles of piano, primarily classical piano, jazz/improvisation, and composition/song writing. I also prepare students for the ABRSM exam if they are sitting them. None of my students have failed these exams.

I want to bring out the individual brilliance of each person, and my teaching is about finding the best way to do that for each student. I love seeing students perform their own compositions and I get excited when they bring me their own recordings. Music has a wider significance than just being able to play an instrument, I`m teaching how to play an instrument but also to be an artist.

I teach from a home music studio, on a really nice grand piano, with a big library of music, and recording facility which students are encouraged to use. I also have a drum kit, guitars, bass, synths and turntables, which allows me to jam with pupils and allows curious pupils to try different instruments.

Availability: I have various slots available during my teaching hours, which are term time Mon-Fri 4pm - 8pm. I can offer some lessons outside of these times, e.g. weekday mornings. Lessons can be between 30mins - 2hours.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I`ve taught for 20 years, at every level, from young children or adult beginners, up to teaching other teachers and expert pianists. Previous pupils have gone on to study at The Royal Academy, Guildhall, and Royal Welsh, and many have gone on to become professional composers, musicians, and producers.

I am a Young Steinway artist, and a successful performer and composer with a publishing contract with Mozart Editions.
