I am a friendly, professional and highly qualified teacher of French, German and English as a second language, able to adapt to any level with bespoke lessons to suit your needs. If you are concerned that your son or daughter has missed out on valuable teaching for GCSE or A level French or German, I am familiar with most examination papers, particularly for Edexcel and AQA exam boards. Maybe English is your second language and you`d really like to become more confident with written or spoken communication.

As a qualified languages teacher with a masters in Languages in Education from the University of Bath and many years of teaching experience, I can support you to achieve your language learning goals. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn a foreign language and learning should be a fun experience. My tutoring style is based on encouragement and praise to create a positive learning environment. I like to gain a good understanding of the preferred learning style of each student, in order to adapt my lessons to match the interests or abilities of each individual.

Availability: Day time appointments available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Online teaching at various times is also possible.

Experience: I have 14 years of mainstream teaching experience. Following my PGCE I taught for two years in a comprehensive school, teaching French and German to GCSE and A level with students from Years 7 to 13 and for 12 years I taught French and German to A level at The Sixth Form College in Solihull. During this time I have coached many students through challenging exams and I am always responsive to the learning needs every individual. I also have considerable experience supporting adult learners to enjoy developing their language skills.
